Request an Organizational Advocacy Response

Advocacy is a core value for the RDAP Association. RDAP members are welcome to request an organizational response from leadership pertaining broadly to data management, sharing, curation, and preservation issues that align with our membership, mission, and values.

If you want to request that the RDAP Association submit a response to a request or proposal (e.g. government requests for input on new policies, journal policies, etc.), we ask that you contact the RDAP Board (execboard [at] rdapassociation.org) ideally 30 days in advance of a response deadline. Anything due in less than two weeks is, in all likelihood, not possible. Please provide as much detail regarding the issue as you can. We also welcome and encourage your input and participation in drafting the response, and may ask for additional RDAP member input as is feasible and appropriate. Determining whether an organizational response will be made is at the discretion of the RDAP Executive Board and does not preclude the individual from submitting a personal response, or organizing a response with others.

All RDAP organizational responses are archived on OSF in Responses on Behalf of RDAP Membership.
